Campus Events
We have reached nearly 700 students through our campaign efforts on The University of Southern Mississippi's campus. Femme4 is honored to have met such wonderful people + hope that students have learned more about their rights both on + off campus.

This is the one we knew our fellow students would be the most ecstatic about.
We created
FIRST AMENDMENT CLASS CART
to drive students to class! The only catch is that students had to answer questions about the 1st Amendment on their ride.

Our professor is almost over the moon on this event.
The FIRST AMENDMENT SPEED DATING event will be a hit, no doubt.
In this event, we will pair students who identify as "more conservative" to students who are "more liberal." Students will receive promoted questions & will have 30 seconds to answer before moving to the next person.

EXTRA
We were able to meet up with FOX 23 here in Hattiesburg on Nov. 13 to promote our event! The interview aired Nov. 13 at 9 p.m. on FOX news Hattiesburg.
(starting at 0:37)
Event #1:
First Amendment Wall
Our 1st event was a great success!
The 1st Amendment Wall had over 60 participants (which exceeded our goal) within 1 hour! We were able to connect with students and faculty and learn how to reach out to them in the most effective ways.
We also learned that over 1/2 of the students who participated did not know their 1st Amendment rights. In fact, we had to tell many students all 5 rights for them to be able to participate. This was a fear of ours from the beginning of the campaign and we hope to address it more in the next events!
Above are images of the event along with the responses from our participants. We filled both sides of the board with information!
The video is a time lapse of the event from our YouTube channel including most of the participants.
Jeopardy was another successful event for Femme4! Around 40 students stopped to learn about their First Amendment rights at the event. Participants chose 2-3 questions to answer & received personalized Femme4 stickers as a prize.
Event #2: Jeopardy
Event #3: Cash Cart
One of our most exciting events included us driving students to class via golf carts! We are very thankful for the USM Alumni Assocaition and the Physical Plant for donating their golf carts to help us in this campaign.
During the Cash Cab event, students were able to receive a ride at a price: they had to answer questions on video. These questions were based on the First Amendment. (For example: At what age does the 1st Amendment protect you?)

Event #4: Speed Dating
Our fourth event was First Amendment Speed Dating. Here, we were able to meet over 30 students in a conversational setting. Students were given prompted questions and asked to converse with someone of the opposing political viewpoint. Participants were served donuts from Shipley's along with candy, coffee, + more!
Event #5: Campus Outreach

Our final "event" was more of an us-come-to-you type of gig. Here, we walked around campus and asked students to tell us their First Amendment rights. If they could tell us all 5 rights, they received a Starbucks gift card and our business card. We reached over 500 students with the campus outreach and we are so happy to have met everyone!
